Question: What is Tweet for Charity?
Answer: Tweet for Charity is a twitter driven charity project engineered to use the energy generated from twitter to affect the lives of disadvantaged people in our society.
Question: Who are the members of Tweet for Charity?
Answer: Tweet for Charity started with 21 pioneer tweeps, but membership is open to all.
Question: What are the requirements for membership?
Answer: A twitter handle and a heart that is willing to give.
Question: Are there membership dues to be paid
Answer: None
Question: Which project is Tweet for Charity working on presently?
Answer: We presently working on supporting The Centre for Destitute Empowerment located at 8, Makanjuola Close, Pako, Idinmu , Alimosho LGA.
Question: What do we intend to achieve?
Answer: We intend to create memories in the heart of the children. Complete info would be on the currently being designed Tweet for Charity website.
Question: Will Tweet for Charity work with only homes?
Answer: No, we will consider other options as we embark on more projects.
Question: Who pays for the Project?
Answer: We do.
Question: How?
Answer: At Tweet for Charity. We believe giving should be fun and also that its little drops that matter. So we keep it as simple and fun as possible. So this first project is going to be based on follower count. Lets say it’s a price to pay for being famous. (smiles). So for everybody that follows you, we contribute #2 and for every one you follow you contribute #1. Do the maths friends, it aint that much is it?
Question: How do we make contributions?
Answer: The bank acct details will be displayed on the Tweet for Charity Website.
Question: How am I sure its not a scam?
Answer: The account will have Internet Banking set up on it. The login details will be made public. Everyone will have access to view whatever transaction occurs on the account. There will be no debit into the account until the project kicks off. Don’t trust us. Ask questions, probe us and really there is no Us…we all are us..probe ourselves!!
Question: Is it a one off project?
Answer: No, we intend to embark on another before the end of the year.
Question: Who gets to attend the project?
Answer: Everyone.
Question: Who are the directors of Tweet for Charity.
Answer: We are not faceless. We are people you tweet with daily. Tweet4Charity doesn’t have a board of owners. It was the original idea of Simon Itodo (@WF_SimonSEEZ) and a coalition of 20 other tweeps have joined in to make it a reality. We adopt a shared responsibility and collective decision making model.
